Die am 1. Juli 1997 eröffnete Tierauffangstation Suhl befindet sich direkt am dortigen Tierpark und wird von der Stadtverwaltung Suhl betrieben. Als Notaufnahmestelle ist die Station auf die vorübergehende Unterbringung und schnelle Vermittlung von Fundtieren spezialisiert. Sie bietet Platz für bis zu vier Hunde und 30 Katzen, während andere Haustierarten dort nicht aufgenommen werden können.
