At HonestDog, we have strict criteria for breeder admission. There are three levels that we transparently indicate in the profile: Level 1 - Approved by HonestDog: Breeders upload all required documents, including identity verification and, if applicable, proof of club membership or §11 permission for their breeding. After document review, we conduct a personal conversation with breeders about their breeding philosophy, puppy socialization, and view the breeding environment via video call. Level 2 - Community Feedback: Community feedback is an important part of our verification. We take hints seriously and respond accordingly. Level 3 - Dog Expert Visit: Breeders can receive a personal visit from a dog expert to ensure all criteria are met. Additionally, every breeder must agree to our standards for healthy breeding during the registration process. Our goal is to ensure that all breeders on our platform meet the highest standards and provide the best conditions for happy, healthy puppies.
