Mein Rüde zeigt im Revier eine unglaubliche Energie und Schnelligkeit. Er hat eine extrem feine Nase und ist besonders bei der Jagd auf Rebhühner und Wachteln in seinem Element. Selbst dichtes Unterholz oder schwieriges Gelände halten ihn nicht auf.
Man darf jedoch nicht unterschätzen, wie viel Energie diese Hunde verbrennen. Während der Jagdsaison muss ich seine Futterration fast verdoppeln und auf besonders energiereiches Futter achten, um seinen hohen Bedarf zu decken. Er ist ein treuer Arbeitspartner, der nach getaner Arbeit aber auch seine Ruhephasen einfordert.

Mit Geduld, positiver Verstärkung und viel Liebe erreicht man bei ihr dagegen alles. Ein kleiner gesundheitlicher Schwachpunkt sind ihre langen Schlappohren, die wir regelmäßig kontrollieren und reinigen müssen, da sie anfällig für Entzündungen sind.
