Wir haben unsere dreifarbige serbische Laufhündin vor ein paar Jahren aus dem Tierschutz adoptiert. Vor dem Einzug haben wir sie wochenlang im Tierheim besucht und beim Gassi gehen schnell gemerkt, was für ein feines, aber extremes 'Jagdmonster' wir uns da ins Haus holen. Sie zeigt einen extrem ausgeprägten Spurlaut – sobald sie im Wald eine Fährte in die Nase bekommt, fängt sie sofort mit ihrer hellen, zarten Stimme an zu singen.
Der Jagdtrieb ist bei dieser Rasse wirklich nicht zu unterschätzen und erfordert extrem viel Aufmerksamkeit. Ein normaler Freilauf im Wald ist ohne Schleppleine und ein absolut zuverlässiges Training kaum denkbar. Wir nutzen zur Sicherheit sogar einen GPS-Tracker rund um die Uhr, falls sie doch mal einer Spur hinterhergeht.
Um sie geistig auszulasten und ihrem unbändigen Fährtenwillen gerecht zu werden, machen wir regelmäßig Mantrailing. Das ist für sie die perfekte Beschäftigung. Trotz der anstrengenden Seiten draußen ist sie im Haus eine unglaublich sanfte, liebevolle und ruhige Begleiterin, die wir nicht mehr missen wollen.

Er ist ein klassisches Doppelgesicht: Drinnen ist er ein tiefenentspannter, verschmuster und sehr geduldiger Familienhund, der die Nähe zu seinen Menschen sucht. Draußen jedoch erwacht das Energiebündel. Er braucht täglich mindestens ein bis zwei Stunden intensive Bewegung und vor allem Kopfarbeit.
Wir lasten ihn mit anspruchsvollen Such- und Fährtenspielen im Garten und im Wald aus. Man muss konsequent und geduldig in der Erziehung sein, denn die Rasse hat einen sehr selbstständigen, beharrlichen Charakter. Für Anfänger ist er definitiv nichts, aber für aktive Menschen, die bereit sind, mit der Nase des Hundes zu arbeiten, ein Traum.
