About Old English Bulldog
The Old English Bulldog – originally the Olde English Bulldogge (OEB) – is a modern recreation of the historic English bulldog once bred for bull-baiting. From 1971, David Leavitt began developing an athletic, free-breathing bulldog of that type in the USA; today it is also bred in many European lines. It is a medium-sized, muscular and very people-oriented family and companion dog. Health-focused breed clubs such as Germany's COBD e.V. reject exaggerated features and only admit vet-screened dogs to breeding.
